This camp is for FCF members who want to advance to Buckskin or Wilderness level.
Arrive Friday 10am, graduate 4pm Sunday
Were you able to survive and graduate from the FCF Adventure camp? Awesome!! That means you’re ready to take the next steps to continue your advancement through the FCF program. If you are a Frontiersmen, that means you will be working to become Buckskin. If you are a Buckskin, you will be progressing through (2) camps to work towards the highest level of Wilderness. These camps are designed to help you hone your pioneer skills and to put together the necessary gear to take the final step of the FCF advancement process; the overnight vigil, which is taken to earn Wilderness level. Mentors and other FCF members will walk side-by-side with you and help you prepare physically, mentally and spiritually to succeed.
Please be sure to download the appropriate workbook for the level you are trying to earn; buckskin or wilderness. These workbooks are full of information on what you will need to accomplish to move on. It is a great idea to start to work on the requirements BEFORE arriving at camp, so you won’t have to spend as much time on “bookwork” while at the camp.
Our Chippewa Chapter has developed the following requirements in order to attend Advancement camps:
-
Young Bucks: Actively working to attain the Adventure Gold Medal. Note, you CAN NOT advance to the wilderness level without earning the Adventure Gold Medal.
-
Old Timers: Actively working to attain the “trained” level of leadership. Note, you CAN NOT advance to the wilderness level without earning the “trained” level certificate.
